So the “Hub City” was truly the center of commerce, and planning to become a critical point in the movement and transportation of goods throughout the state.

As a shipping and distributing point, Colton was unsurpassed: in volume of shipping it ranked third in the state. The fact that Colton was the only city in the valley on the main line of the Southern Pacific railroad partially explains why it was such an important point. It was, at the time, a direct track to every other point in Southern California…..truly THE HUB CITY.

The Colton Chamber of Commerce is working hard to capture the spirit of those days, with the creation of a new brand for our City, pulled from its heritage and history; building upon the strength of its past as it combines lore with the modern goals of today. We want to breathe new life into the old vision of Colton as “The Hub City”, and invite you to come along for the ride.

In the current economic climate of our City, State and Nation, no one has even an extra dime to waste on communication and information gathering.

The Colton Chamber of Commerce has a great responsibility to establish it self as the ‘Hub” of the business community. City, County, Regional, State and National organizations from all sectors of Government and Society, funnel their information through our organization to be combined and disbursed back into the community. We are a key player in the timely distribution of information to our members and our community.

With a membership representing all sectors of business in our community, the Colton Chamber of Commerce is the pulse of the economic circle in our area.

Our Board of Directors is representative of the diverse and multifaceted talent and entrepreneurial spirit present in present day Colton. Their dedication and commitment is evident in the hours they donate to the community through their efforts as Chamber members.

Our Executive Board is in constant communication with staff, sharing ideas, seeking information, asking thought provoking questions. Their desire is to create programs and alliances that will strengthen the value of the Colton Chamber of Commerce and provide increased services to our member s and the community as a whole.

Our Staff is committed to the execution of quality events and activities, including the promotion of new businesses in Colton, the support of existing businesses and the production of quality print materials for distribution to any who inquire about the City of Colton and/or the Colton Chamber of Commerce.
